The Royal Moroccan Kickboxing Federation has officially appointed Abdelhak Karmaoui as National Technical Director of Savate, following a unanimous decision by its Executive Board.
The appointment recognizes years of dedication and technical expertise, as Mr. Karmaoui played a central role in reviving Savate in Morocco after more than two decades of organizational stagnation.
The move has received strong backing from regional leagues and leading sports figures, notably world champion Khalid Kandili, who has been instrumental in restoring the discipline’s national and international standing.
Widely seen as a strategic turning point, this decision is expected to enhance technical governance, strengthen training programs, and align Moroccan Savate with international standards, reinforcing the Kingdom’s ambitions in combat sports development.
